The Geometry Regeants is a state assessment on the student's knowledge in geometry. This test composed of about 30 multiple choice questions and around 15 word problems that require complete solutions.Students are given around 3 hours to answer this state test. If the students has english as a second language or is specially educated, then the students has thge previledge to get an extra hour or some help in taking the test.

Topic Overview

Basic Constructions and Unkown Angles

Rigid Motions

Rigid Motions are movements of a polygon that preserves distance, size and shape

Types of Basic Rigid Motions

Rotation

the action of rotating around a point or center

to identify the degree of rotation we follow rules such as

Reflection

A transformation in which a geometric figure is reflected across a line, creating a mirror image. That line is called the axis of reflection.

Key notes: the horizontal reflection is called "reflection over the x-axis", the vertical reflection is called " reflection over the y-axis"

Translation

ranslation is a term used in geometry to describe a function that moves an object a certain distance. The object is not altered in any other way. It is not rotated, reflected or re-sized. ... In a translation, every point of the object must be moved in the same direction and for the same distance.

Triangle Proofs

Triangles or can be proven congruent with congruency criterias

Congruency Criterias

Right Triangle Trigonometry

To find an angle and or side of a triangle using Sin Tan or Cos signs (SinCahToa)

Circles

A circle is a polygon with no sides and or edges that makes every circle similiar as every circles circumference is based on pi
